Design, build, and launch a model rocket, then produce a performance report analyzing the flight and comparing to predictions.

Reality diverged from prediction: we expected the parachute to bring the rocket straight down, but 30+ feet of horizontal drift from heavy winds taught the biggest lesson — engineers must adapt regardless of circumstances.

Fin attachment was the hardest part — fins kept detaching (took nearly 20 attempts to glue on) and eventually broke off in the main launch. Better fin orientation and a stronger engine mount would have dramatically improved performance.
